Individual service contract forecast

2. Procedure: International restricted tender.
3. Programme: Banana Support Programme - SFA 2002 and SFA 2003.
4. Financing: Budget line B7-8710 - Assistance to traditional ACP
supplies of bananas.
5. Contracting authority: Ministry of National Development, Belmopan,
Belize.
6. Nature of contract: Fee-based.
7. Contract description: A rural development expert will be recruited
under this technical assistance to implement and to further complement
where necessary, the various components of the Rural Development
Programme (RDP) contemplated for the banana-producing area. Based on the
findings of a social survey and a micro-credit survey the Rural
Development Expert will advise, supervise, and monitor the implementation
of Belize's RDP.
8. Indicative maximum budget: EUR 300 000.
9. Intended timing of publication: December 2005.
10. Additional information: This contract will only be awarded after a
positive decision once the Riders to the Financing Agreement under SFA
2002 and SFA 2003 have been signed.
11. Legal basis: Council Regulation (EC) No 856/1999 - Special framework
of assistance to the traditional ACP suppliers of bananas to the European
Union, funded under the Financing Agreement for SFA 2002 and SFA 2003.

corresponding procurement notice.
