Project coordination and management unit
Individual service contract forecast

3. Programme: European Development Fund (9th EDF).

5. Contracting authority: National Authorising Officer of the European
Development Fund, Ministry of Finance, Belmopan, Belize.
6. Nature of contract: Provision of technical assistance (mixed service
contract with fees, lump sum and reimbursable).
7. Contract description: The contract consists of the provision of the
project coordination and management unit (PCMU), for a sound management
of the Belize Rural Development Programme. The PCMU will assume an
administrative and financial role, and coordinate the project's
implementation at community, district and national level with the various
line ministries and donor agencies.
8. Indicative maximum budget: 1 300 000 EUR.
9. Intended timing of publication: February 2005.
10. Additional information: The service contract will have a running
period of 48 months. This contract will only be awarded after a positive
decision on the financing of the project by the EDF Committee.
11. Legal basis: ACP-EC Partnership Agreement signed at Cotonou on
23.6.2000.
